EBONY/CURATED presents Nuisance Dust, the latest solo exhibition by Hugh Byrne. Bringing together a new body of non-figurative works, 'Nuisance Dust' considers colour, structure and material through Byrne’s intuitive studio practice. Working responsively, Byrne allows each composition to develop through a negotiation between spontaneity and restraint.

Byrne’s studio is integral to this process. Tools, materials, discarded elements and fragments of earlier works become points of departure, forming a visual language shaped as much by accumulated experience as by immediate gesture. The resulting works are marked by a measured tension between order and disruption, with colour and form in constant adjustment to one another.
