Greenmarket Square is a historic public square in the heart of old Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 1696 with the construction of a burgher watch house, it is one of the city's oldest public spaces. The square is surrounded by several historic buildings, including the Old Town House, which now houses the Michaelis Collection of art.
