About this programme item
The Day I Cut My Own Fringe
Why did I do it? Maybe it works for some, but not for me. Whatever—you can live with my fringe.
This show is about the small rebellions that change everything. The comments on my skin, my legs, my body—they stung. But here I am, 34, in Cape Town, doing my own thing. Ageing hurts, bodies change, life throws shade—but I choose me.
Cracks, pimples, strong legs, firm ass (for now)—I take it all. I am the Venus I am, the Venus I deserve.
Here’s to bad fringes, bold moves, and starting over… again and again. A solo show of self-love, defiance, and the messy, hilarious journey of being unapologetically yourself.
