Studies in the sun by Roelof Rossouws exhibition continues until the 13 April.

All the works in Studies in the Sun are studio paintings, created from photographs I have taken. The photographs serve as a starting point, but the goal is always to improve upon them: simplifying forms, emphasizing light, and allowing paint itself to carry the emotion of the moment.
