Sacred Debris

About this programme item
Kirsty Tinkler’s exhibition Sacred Debris presents a series of wall works that function both as individual pieces and as an immersive installation shaped by the architecture of the gallery space itself.
Finding resonance in the journey described by Dante’s 14th-century poem, The Divine Comedy, Tinkler’s new body of work suggests movement and passage, visualising a mystical progression.
A series of mirror-like panels offers abstract impressions of Dante’s path - a progression that quietly unfolds through the works’ shifts in colour, mood, and visceral materiality.
This exhibition was made possible thanks to the support by the National Arts Council.
