New Pathways is an exhibition showcasing the latest art acquisitions of the Stellenbosch University Museum. The works span from 2014 to recent years, a period that coincides with the appointment of Bongani Mgijima as the first Black African Director of the Museum.

The New Pathways exhibition brings together recent acquisitions across painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. It features artworks by both well-known and emerging artists, presented together for the very first time.

Most works collected during this period were acquired through donations, while a smaller number were purchased following a blockbuster exhibition hosted by the Museum to celebrate the centenary of Stellenbosch University in 2018.
