Malose Pete is a South African contemporary fine artist, painter, and sculptor. A trained artist and educator, his practice spans sculpture and painting, with work rooted in social reflection and material traditions. His exhibitions include solo and group shows at the Pretoria Arts Association, Trent Gallery, Artlovers 1932, and The IS Gallery. He has been recognised through ABSA L’Atelier (2011), Sasol New Signatures (2011), and the Sanlam Portrait Awards (2019). Pete lectures part-time at the Tshwane University of Technology. His work often draws on techniques and materials associated with cultural practices, including references to soil and cow dung used in traditional floor polishing.
