The first in a three-part exhibition series by renowned South African artist Johann Louw opens with Part 1: Works on Paper, launching the broader project titled At Sixty. Born in 1965 in Bellville, South Africa, Louw holds a Master’s degree in Fine Art from Stellenbosch University (1992). He currently lives and works in Cape Town. Over the past three decades, Louw has established a significant presence in the contemporary art world, exhibiting widely both in South Africa and internationally.

This opening chapter of At Sixty offers an intimate look at the artist’s works on paper—revealing a deeply personal, process-driven dimension of his practice.
