Lemkus Gallery presents two post-residency exhibitions, Building Drawing Practice by Aaron Philander and Umsinsi Wokuzimilela by Smiso Cele. Both projects take inspiration from familial legacies of labour, on the one hand bricklaying and gardening on the other. Presented as individuals solos, but in a shared space, their concurrent presentations converse with each other and offer contrasting interpretations on what it means to offer time one's time in service of cultivating public and domestic spaces.
