Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) presents Afflict the Comfortable, Comfort the Afflicted, a survey exhibition by Cauleen Smith. Curated by Thato Mogotsi, the exhibition opened on Thursday, 20 November 2025, on Level 3 Silo Side, and runs until Sunday, 4 October 2026. In Smith’s first major presentation on the African continent, atmospheric installations bring together short films, videos, drawings, sculptural works, and colourful textile banners in a layered exploration of Black experimental cinema, Afrocentric aesthetics, Black feminism, and Afrofuturist imagination.
